And for the couple wanting a more intimate setting The Mason Inn is pleased to offer Cross Cottage on the tranquil banks of nearby Mason Pond.  This romantic white trimmed clapboard cottage is tucked into a quiet corner of the campus nestled among a garden.  Cross Cottage seems to belong in a wooded glen rather than on a large university campus and is often used for chamber music, poetry readings and artistic events.  It is also a perfect setting for couples to use as a backdrop for wedding photos with its romantic views of the pond, fountain, and natural surroundings, or a place for a smaller and a more intimate ceremony.

The Mason Inn’s professional Fairfax weddings planning staff will also work with you to create a bridesmaid’s luncheon, rehearsal dinner or bachelor/bachelorette parties.  In addition to our ballroom space, we offer the private dining room adjacent to Boxwood’s Restaurant for these cherished events.
